  1. Take a leisurely, romantic walk around Wascana Lake. The walking paths are paved the entire way and the lake is absolutely beautiful at night! The Legislative Building, situated not far from the walking paths, is gorgeous when illuminated at night and in the summer the gardens planted in front will take your breath away.
  2. Kick it back old school at Wonderland Arcade. This place has everything from kiddie games all the way to retro video games like pinball and interactive racing games with the real driver’s seats.
  3. Test out your rhythm and flare for Latin Dance by enrolling in Salsa lessons. There are a variety of organizations that offer lessons throughout the year, Regina Salseros being one of the best.

  4. Take a stroll through the Crescents and check out the amazing architecture. Some of the houses in this area were built over a hundred years ago and have amazing character! Right at the Albert Street entrance into the Crescents is a huge grasshopper sculpture featuring plants and flowers that are intertwined throughout.
  5. Dance and sway to the beats of some of the world’s finest folk musicians at Regina’s Folk Festival. Held in Victoria park annually in August, the Folk Festival is a can’t miss!
  6. Treat your special someone to an independent movie at the Regina Public Library Film Theatre. If you’re a foreign or independent film lover this place was designed with you in mind!



  7. Check out the Farmer’s Market. If you’re up for a non-traditional date idea or are just grabbing lunch with your special someone, the outdoor Farmer’s Market, held downtown on Wednesdays seasonally, is the place to be! There are tons of home made goods, great baking and great vendors including food trucks.
  8. Explore the Cathedral neighborhood. Not only is this area beautiful, it boasts a huge church, gorgeous murals on the sides of many buildings, and many independent and locally owned businesses. The coffee shops and restaurants down 13th Ave are some of the best in the city! Be sure not to miss the 13th Ave Coffee House or Viet Thai for eats and for shopping, Aware House Books is fabulous.
  9. Get into the action when you see a movie at the Kramer IMAX. Theatre If you haven’t ben to the IMAX before there’s really nothing like it. You feel like you’re a part of the film! Or make it a true date night with dinner and a movie. There are a whole host of great restaurants in Regina.

  10. Brush up on your driving skills all year round at Divots Indoor Golfing Centre. You’ll get to choose from over 72 courses and the facility is over 5800 square feet so you’ll be sure to be a pro in to no time.
  11. Treat yourself and your date to the unforgettable experience of a live play at the Globe Theatre. With many different offerings throughout the year, the amazing singing, acting and dancing is an experience you’ll remember for years to come.
  12. Cool off, try the diving boards or just swim at any one of the many great Regina Leisure Centres that have pools. The Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre and the Field House both have great pools for adults!
  13. Sample to die for fare at Fresh and Sweet on Victoria Avenue. The breakfast combinations are sweet and the many different lunch options are sure to please. Be sure to enjoy one of the many great baked treats to go!
  14. Go for Standup paddling or Full Moon Paddling at Wascana Lake! You can join for lessons or  try Standup padding Yoga or join for a weekend retreat! 
  15. See who has the best shot at the Broken Rack. Enjoy a few games of pool and then kick back and enjoy the big screen TV’s and the large selection of food and drinks to round out the evening.
  16. Go for ten strikes in a row, or if that’s a little intimidating just try for one at the Nortown Lanes or the Glencairn Bolodrome. For the kid in all of us, they also have glow bowling or if you really want to brush up your skill set, join a league with your partner.

  18. Picnic next to the cool waters of the waterfall at Kiwanis Park. The park is a beautiful area that has a bridge over a winding stream, shady trees, green grass and great walking paths not far from the park.
  19. Unleash your artistic side at Paint Nite. The website offers a whole host of different projects that you can try. You do an entire painting in one class with instruction. All skill levels are welcome so be sure to give it a try!
  20. Check out the many show homes throughout the city. It might seem like a strange date idea but seeing brand new homes can be a very fun and free activity and give you tons of decorating and design ideas for the future.
  21. Browse the new and used cars at the Regina Auto Auction on Saturday afternoon. The auction always starts at 1pm and has a whole host of vehicles at great prices. If you’re in the market or just shopping, this is a great idea for any vehicle enthusiasts.

  22. Go on a treasure hunt at garage sales around the city. With many people offering garage sales starting in the spring and going into the fall, Thursday and Friday nights or weekends just got more exciting. See who can get the best bargain!
  23. Take a step back into the past at the Antique Mall. This huge building is packed full of antiques from many different sellers. Even if you aren’t in the market to buy you can still spend hours browsing!
  24. Hunt each other down at Laser Quest. This activity is great for the young and young at heart alike! You’re never too old to shoot each other with fake laser beams.



  25. Go for brunch at the Hotel Saskatchewan. This beautiful hotel puts on an impressive spread. It’s one of the best places to go for brunch and the atmosphere is classy and romantic.

  33. Pick a flavour and try making a wine kit together. There are many different varieties and you can make them right at the store, so you don’t have to invest in a ton of equipment or have the know how to do it at home.
  34. Laugh until your stomach hurts at the Improv comedy nights at the Artesian on 13th Ave. Check out Combat Improv’s site for more details and events.
  35.  Try the amazing Vietnamese fare at the Vietnamese Garden on Broad Street. Whether you’re searching for a great lunch or dinner spot, this is a must visit.

  45. Try one of the many unique beers at Buskwakker Brewpub. The food is also great and the live entertainment is some of the best. Check the website for the can’t miss Firkin Friday celebrations.
  46. Learn a little about history and see all the exciting artifacts at the RCMP Heritage Centre. There are also some beautiful walking paths and a creek that go right by the building making the area truly beautiful.

Enjoy advanced programming and stage shows, a licensed bar and snacks, during Adult Science night at Saskatchewan Science Centre!  Each Adult Science Night has a different theme with different experiments, activities, or even special guests, and they cover everything from nightclubs, to survival science, to outer space and beyond! 
  48. Line up at Milky Way to sample one of the many flavours of ice cream or try a shake or Sundae. The portions are massive and the possibilities are unending. The line might be long but the wait is truly worth it.
