About Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery

Established in 1973, Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery is operated by the Red Deer & District Museum Society, a not-for-profit society (Alberta) and registered charity. With a mission to represent the history, culture and art of Central Alberta for the community and the rest of the world, the museum holds and preserves art and artifacts in the public trust for the benefit of present and future generations.

Located at 4525-47a Avenue, between the Golden Circle and Downtown Red Deer Recreation centre the museum can be reached from South of Reddeer from Highway 2 by exit 394 for Gaetz Avenue/ON-2A toward Red Deer.

Merge onto 50 Ave to 49 Ave N/Hwy 2A N then turn right onto 45 St , turn left at 47a Ave . The museum is on the right.

From the north of Red Deer,take 401 exit to 67 street,Turn right on Gaetz Ave (50 Ave) and then turn left on 45 Street to 47A Ave.
