Kick off your Canada Day with the annual Pancake Breakfast then make your way over to watch the parade. Take in even more activities featured around the City including, the Farmer’s Market and some local entertainment! Cap the night off with a fireworks display at the Rotary Amphitheatre at 10:45 pm.

There will be no shortage of fun for festival goers at our 2023 main feature activity, the giant Zipline.

Activities include:

  • Canada Day Parade presented by PME: The Canada Day Parade provides midday entertainment during the annual festivities. Averaging close to 100 entries, the parade lasts roughly 60 minutes at any given point along the route. Line up the streets along the parade route and cheer on all of the fun and unique parade entries.
  • Enjoy the talents of our local musicians and entertainers on the Legacy Park Bandshell stage.
      • Afternoon: Rebecca Lappa, Wild Rose Old Tyme Fiddlers, Benjamin Williams, Eric Yaremko
      • Evening Stage: Martin Kerr, Trevor Panczak, The Paperboys
  • Festival Food: Canada Day offers some of the most unique and delicious food and beverage options. From hamburgers to snow cones, we have everything to make your taste buds dance.
  • Enjoy exciting activities at Legacy Park from 1-6pm which include: A giant inflatable zipline, Caricature artists, Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos, inflatables and rides, Canada Day Monster Mural Coloring, Video Game Trailer, Petting Zoo
  • Canada Day Farmers’ Market: Come visit some of your favourite local vendors at the Canada Day Farmers’ Market. Find items such as fresh produce, hand-crafted art, live plants, clothing, and so much more. There are also a couple of food trucks to help satisfy that sweet tooth. Support local!
  • There will be FREE cupcakes and ice cream available following the opening ceremonies at 1pm which are provided by our North Central Co-op.
  • Fort Heritage Precinct: The North West Mounted Police Fort at the Fort Heritage Precinct will be open for FREE from 1-6pm!
  • Car Show: The annual Canada Day Car Show and Shine appeals to all demographics and is available to everyone. It has been a staple for Canada Day for nearly two decades, attracting nearly 300 vehicles.
  • Cap the night off with a fireworks display at the Rotary Amphitheatre at 10:45 pm.
