The City of Edmonton’s Office of Emergency Management organizes Get Ready in the Park every year during Emergency Preparedness Week. With more than 60 groups from Edmonton’s emergency response community showcasing their vehicles, equipment and technical capabilities, there is plenty to see, do and learn.
Find out how you and your family can prepare for an emergency at this free, fun, family-oriented event.
- Learn how to prepare for a variety of emergencies
- Meet and talk with emergency responders from the Edmonton and metro region
- Learn how emergency responders work together on the frontlines during an emergency
- See the inside of a fire truck and other emergency vehicles
- Have lunch at one of the on-site food trucks
There will be a variety of Edmonton food trucks on site.

Edmonton EXPO Centre Grounds (South of the EXPO Centre), 7515 118 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5B 0J2
There will be plenty of on-site parking available. For public transportation routes, please plan your trip through Edmonton Transit Service. Coliseum Station is the nearest LRT platform to the event grounds.
Parking is available to the west of the event grounds
