The EAC kicks off the new year with Winter City Weekends at Churchill Square! With programming every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, City Hall is the place to be to show off your moves on the ice and groove to some of Edmonton’s best musicians and DJs.
Swing n’ Skate
After a brief hiatus, Swing ‘n Skate is back at City Hall! The City Room will be jumpin’ on Sundays from 1:00 – 4:00 pm with live music from a variety of genres. Show off your best moves to some swing, big band, soca, salsa, and more.
- On Sunday, January 1, dance into the new year with The Trocadero Orchestra! And if you’d rather be outdoors, the music will be broadcast directly outside for the enjoyment of ice skaters on City Hall Plaza.
- Sunday, January 8 will feature the Edmonton Swing Band.
Ice Grooves
Ice Grooves starts the weekend off right with skating and theme nights with local DJs at City Hall Plaza from 6:00 – 9:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.
- Starting with DJ Thomas Culture on January 6 and DJ Seaglass on January 7.

Free Event
Free skate rentals are available on a first come, first served basis. The plaza rink will be open during favourable weather conditions.
