The Army Museum at the Halifax Citadel has more than 70,000 military artifacts that showcases the military history of Atlantic Canada.

Learn about the Canadian Soldiers who dedicated their lives and mission during the Second World War at the The Trail of the Canadian Army, 1939-1945 exhibition. Visitors can follow the trail of the Canadian army at the Army Museum and discover how the soldiers played an important role in some of the most pivotal moments of the war.

The Army Museum also holds a huge collection of military medals dating back to the earliest days of the country’s history, which tells the powerful story of a soldier’s service and sacrifice in times of conflict.

Appreciate the sacrifices made by Canadians who fought in the First World War at The Road to Vimy and Beyond exhibition.

See strange and oddly beautiful creations, handcrafted by soldiers using military ordnance and hardware at the Trench Art collection.

Explore unique collection of war art by Jessica Wiebe that features the unique depiction of the country’s military experience in Afghanistan, war souvenirs sent home from the front line, extensive military badge collections and other related artifacts.
