About Contemporary Calgary
A registered charitable organization, The Art Gallery of Calgary (The AGC) is a public contemporary art gallery. The AGC holds contemporary art exhibitions and provides quality art education programs for people of all ages. The AGC does not have a permanent art collection and does not sell art.
Contemporary Calgary was formed in January 2014 through the merger of the Art Gallery of Calgary, the Museum of Contemporary Art Calgary and the Institute of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Things to do at Contemporary Calgary
Appreciate the exhibits spread over 6,000 square feet of exhibition space. See the works of prominent contemporary artists from all over the city and around the world in well-curated photography, both documentary and conceptual, painting, and avant-garde sculpture.
The Gallery is available for private functions like weddings and it also holds are education programs for school age children. It also holds fundraiser programslike Art Gallery of Calgary’s Fall fashion show, AGC cooks which is a friendly culinary competition, and Masterpiece Contemporary.
