About Winspear Centre
Opened in September, 1997, to fulfill the need for a concert hall in Edmonton, The Francis Winspear Centre for Music was built with a budget of $45 million, of which 6 million was donated by Dr. Francis Winspear ( the largest single private donation to a performing arts facility in Canadian history). The centre is home to The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and Pro Coro Canada.
