Events Description

A true celebration of CBC!

CBC Music Festival is returning for its eighth year, and Toronto synth-rock band Metric will be headlining the event’s main stage.

Set to take place on Saturday, May 30, at Toronto’s RBC Echo Beach, the all-Canadian lineup will also featureMontreal indie-rockers Half Moon Run, pop artist Lights, 2018 Polaris Music Prize winner Jeremy Dutcher, Oshawa band Dizzy, and Montreal singer-songwriter Geoffroy.

Host Tom Power will return with the q stage, which will feature performances by 2019 Polaris Music Prize-winning rapper Haviah Mighty and Haisla hip-hop duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids. The soon-to-be-announced 2020 CBC Music Searchlight contest winner will also be part of this stage.

This year’s CBC Music Tent Stage will include soul singer Tanika Charles and Montreal R&B artist Tedy. And the festival will be rounded out by the family-friendly programming throughout the day at the CBC Kids Zone.

The CBC Kids Zone will be back and will include crafts, activities and entertainment throughout the day for young concertgoers. A food truck fair will provide a variety of cuisines all day. And there will be opportunities, between sets, to explore the rest of the site and meet local CBC hosts.
