Join Arts Commons Presents for the freshest summer sendoff in the city! Canadian Hip-Hop pioneer Kardinal Offishall and dance diva Kiesza will co-headline a FREE party in Arts Commons’ front yard. Complete with food trucks, drinks, and an opening showcase of local Hip-Hop artists presented by 10at10, this is for all-ages of Calgarians who want to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth of Hip-Hop!
After shooting to the top of the charts with her breakout hit “Hideaway” and becoming one of “Canada’s most promising stars” (according to NME), Kiesza’s electro-pop energy is bound to get you bopping on your feet.
Kardinal Offishall will prove why he’s the “Numba 1” ambassador for Hip-Hop in Canada. Do you call Toronto “T-dot”? That’s thanks to Kardi. He’s paved the way for Hip-Hop crossovers both internationally and across the country, collaborating on numerous chart-toppers like “Dangerous” with Akon and “Numba 1” with Rihanna. Kardinal now fosters emerging talent as a judge on Canada’s Got Talent and as the Global A&R for Def Jam Records.
