6. The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses Family Concert
The story of a young Native American girl who has a deep affinity for wild horses is vividly brought to life with music and narration. The Girl Who Loved Wild Horses makes its Alberta premiere performed by two of Calgary’s finest ensembles, Cantaré Children’s Choir and Land’s End Ensemble.Details

5. Al Muirhead Northern Adventures CD Release
Join 2016 Juno nominated trumpeter Al Muirhead for the release of his most ambitious CD project to date – ‘Northern Adventures – The Canada Sessions Vol. 1’. The album brings Al together with many of Canada’s jazz greats performing a collection of his favourite jazz standards. For the Calgary CD release, Al will featuring some of his special guests from the recording including long-time friend Tommy Banks on piano, Vancouver jazz giant Campbell Ryga on sax, and award-winning bassist Kodi Hutchinson. We invite our young friends of the Amici String School to join us once again in a side-by-side concert showcasing their energetic and passionate talent.
