3. Littlebirds Weekend
The Littlebirds Big Band has been the premier educational program of the Edmonton Jazz Society for more than twenty-five years. They have produced many musicians who have gone on to professional performing and teaching careers. The directors will present music with the current Littlebirds Big Band and the Littlebirds Combo in a program to support the ongoing efforts of this special long-term project. Details

4. An Evening of Count Basie
Step back in time to the swinging 1930s and 40s with a tribute to the legendary Count Basie. On April 1st, Edmonton’s Swing Emporium Big Band will perform Basie’s biggest hits in Old Strathcona in a cabaret-style event.
