I was at the Chrismas Market, yesterday (nov 28, 2015) the atmosphere and settings were just beautiful. So MANY vendors, it takes at least half a day to see it all. A couple things I need to mention….How to get disabled people in the gates, with minimal walking(I had a person with crutches and a 18 year old with a cane) when we were parking in the first lot, the lot attendant did not know of any gate drop off. As a result, we walked with our two disabled members of our party all the way from first lot! Half way there, there was a litte shelter and a sign that said shuttle for people needing assistance, but this was way to far after we walked most of the way there. As well, we didn’t know (or see any shuttle) is it to get from parking area to that shelter? Or from the shelter to the gates? While shopping and enjoying the day, we made a plan that we will drive up to the other gate to pick them up…(as we saw from inside the park that there was a beautiful drive about, perfect for dropping people off at.) however after Myself and the driver got back to our car, we couldn’t find how to get there….we ended up driving through “restricted, employees only area” and got as close to our friends as we could. Proper signage “gate drop off” would help out emensly!!! As well as lot attendants knowing where it is! As our party was not the only disabled people, let alone elderly, for drop off. I saw lots hobbling out with canes and crutches. Very sad. As well, Food was WAY TO EXPENSIVE,” we ordered lunch by the Telus photo booth. 2 Turkey pies, 2 Apple strudels and a hot chocolate (w/ baileys) and 1 bottle of water $41.68. Seriously. I know it’s there to make money, but WOW. Then standing there with our tray, of food, cane and crutches, and all 12 tables full. 1000’s and 1000’s of people on site, and only minimal indoor seating.
