Opened in 1986, World Waterpark is an indoor waterpark in West Edmonton Mall, Alberta. It is home to world’s largest indoor wave pool and features more than 17 unique water slides, hot tubs, and children’s areas. With an area of approximately 5 acres, the waterpark has a capacity of more than 3000 guests.

Hurricane (located in the SW corner of the park)- An inflatable ball within a ball that contains water and rotates, creating a slippery but smooth ride often described as a “cross between a waterfall and rollercoaster” and “the world’s longest waterslide”. The first of its kind in Canada.

Tsunami is a FlowRider Double, a sheet wave attraction that enables people to ride waves using either a bodyboard or a flowboard. Gravity allows the rider to ‘drop in’ from the crest of the wave and then manoeuvre the water flow.

Minimum height to bodyboard : 107 centimetres (42 inches) & Minimum height to flowboard (stand up): 122 centimetres (48 inches)

Soar across the wave pool in the Zip line.

Learn to surf or surf at the Wave pool.

    It is a little pricey but what isn’t in Alberta LOL
    find tickets online like places like kijiji and on the wem waterpark site it’s self
    And don’t forget to check how many airmiles you have you can get two wem passss for 426 points from airmiles!

    Long waits, very expensive and everything is extra (tubes, lockers,etc.) They charge 21$ to watch your children!! We have been to Silverwood and Quebec’s water slides and they are a much better deal.

    Omg! Das Einkaufszentrum ist der Wahnsinn! Jedoch sollte man sein Geld nicht für den Waterpark ausgeben. Es ist bitter kalt dort drin (hab mich dort richtig erkältet) und wenn man Etwas machen möchte, kostet alles extra! Sprich für mich waren 3 Becken interessant, in denen ich mich je nur 10 min aufhalten durfte! Das große Wellenbecken hab ich leider nur bis zu den Knien genießen können, da das Wasser bitterkalt war und der Chlorgeruch einem schon von weitem in die Nase kroch. Der Fußboden war schmutzig, hoffe ich habe mir nichts eingefangen! Wenn man sich von all dem nicht abschrecken lässt und trotzdem ein paar ruhige Minuten im lauten Bad verbringt, fühlt man sich schnell wie auf dem Präsentierteller oder wie im Zoo, wenn die Mall-Besucher dauerhaft durch die große Scheibe einen anglotzen! Ich bin ziemlich verärgert über so etwas Schlechtes in heutiger Zeit. Immerhin gibt es Heizung etc. Reine Geld – und Zeitverschwendung
