Every year the charming, little town of Bala hosts an amazing Cranberry Festival that supports the local community and organizations in need. This year, you can be a part of these fun-filled festivities from October 15-17.
There are so many exciting things to do here. You can see amazing local talent on display, at the arts and crafts show. There will be many vendors selling beautifully handcrafted handbags, ottomans, knitwear, footwear and mats. You can also find scented candles, makeup, tea, and jewelry and mugs on sale.
Treat yourselves to Belgian chocolate cashews, sweets, jams, soups and so many other yummy food items.
There will be plenty of thrilling activities in Bala for kids too.
Since the Cranberry festival is in October, the festival will be more like a fall fair. There will be live music, busking and entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Local artists will be performing at Maple Avenue on October 15th.
With your ticket, you can also visit the farmers market and use shuttle buses, as you explore Bala. Many restaurants and local shops will be open during the festival, so you can have an enjoyable experience in this town. Capture this fantastic time with friends and family at the “in the cranberries” photo booth.
During the festival, you can visit Johnston’s Cranberry Marsh and Muskoka Lakes Winery, where you can see how they harvest the cranberries. They also offer wagon tours and you can buy cranberry snacks from their cafe.
Tickets will be available for purchase on September 22nd. The timings for each day are different and 2-time slots will be available on Saturday, October 16th.
