What’s the big buzz about being a bee… come join us and see. The Historic Luxton Home sits in the densest area of built heritage in Banff, and we have a heritage garden loaded with bee friendly flowers. Today we are joined by bee expert Janne Hicklin who brings with her an observation hive, a bee suit, native bee hives to purchase, information on making a bee friendly garden… and so much more. There will be fun with origami and bees wax wraps (by donation), free flowery tea tasting and honey sampling. And $2 honey based mead tasting. This family and bee friendly event runs from noon – 4:00 p.m.
Who is it for?
Enjoying the garden and event and touring the historic home are all free. Tea and honey samples are free. Mead tastings are $2. Working with bees wax wraps is by donation.
