Events Description

Friday, Dec. 4 – This year, Creemore will light up the night. Christmas is the pinnacle of Creemore’s community festivities and 2020 will be the same even though the activities may look a bit different. This year’s tree lighting hosted by CARA and The Creemore Tree Society will be a village-wide celebration. Community members are asked to light up their favourite tree or their homes and turn on the lights at exactly 6:30 p.m. Community members are encouraged to wear their crazy hats while wandering the streets and hashtag #creemoreloveschristmas to be entered into the contest while doing so. Sign up to have your address listed on our map.

Saturday, Dec. 5 – The Creemore BIA is hosting a stationary Santa Claus Parade Clearview wide and is encouraging people to set up a festive scene or “float” in front of their home or business. A map will be printed in The Echo marking where all of the floats and displays will be.
Floats will remain in place as onlookers stroll, physically distanced, or tour by car throughout Clearview during this stationary Santa Claus parade. Floats and displays will be set up by 1 p.m. and animated until at least 3 p.m. Participants are encouraged to leave their floats and lights on display until Christmas.
Stop by to have a socially distanced visit with Santa at the Log Cabin. There will be a place to drop off your letters to Santa or Christmas card to send to the nursing home.
