Candy Collection
For our little trick-or-treaters, sign up for some fun social-distance candy collection in Ritchie Park. Sign up for your time slot to collect candy from two-meters (or more) away from our volunteers. We will send candy your way in the most creative ways we can come up with (think Rube Goldberg meets Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown). We are not saying there will be a candy catapult, nor can we say that there won’t be.

What: Candy Collection in Ritchie Park
Safety measures in place:
– Volunteers will undergo COVID screening questionnaire and temperature check on day of event
– Volunteers will be masked and gloved for the event.
– Candy will be distributed to trick-or-treaters two or more meters away from volunteers.
– Screening questions will be asked of participants on day of.
– Small cohorts will go through the event – social distancing will be encouraged – visual markers will be in place to enable safe social distancing within and between cohorts.
– Hand sanitation stations will be on site throughout the event.

– Names of all participants
– Phone number
– Select time slot
-Donation optional, proceeds to Edmonton Food Bank
– Acknowledgement of COVID protocols (2 meters apart, masks, hand sanitizers, not to attend if showing any symptoms).
– Note that if unable to attend due to symptoms, a candy bag from the event can be delivered to homes within Ritchie for participants who need to miss the event.

When: Saturday, October 31, 2020, Time Slots beginning at 4:30. Last Time Slot 7:30.
Where: Ritchie Park
Event will take place October 31, 2020
– Time slots spaced 5 minutes apart
– Cohorts are limited to six trick-or-treaters per time slot. Minimize adults to one per household.
What to Expect Day of Event
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your assigned time slot.
Upon arrival check in with volunteer in marked waiting area.
Time slots will be managed by a volunteer who will:
– Check in participants
– Verify they have masks
– Administer a COVID screening questionnaire
