The annual Alberta Star Party. Get together with other astronomers at a camping event where you can enjoy speakers during the day and the sky during the night.
The Alberta Star Party is open to everyone – not just RASC members. We invite you and your family to attend. The Annual Alberta Star Party is hosted by the Calgary Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and we feel that you will be impressed by the dark and transparent skies.
Cover all of your white lights, e.g. flashlights, headlights, interior trailer lights, etc. with red cellophane or the equivalent; or leave them off.
HOW MUCH
Tickets:
Early bird pricing: single $20, family $30 till Aug 31
Standard pricing: single $25; family $35 until Sep 22.
At the site pricing: single $30, family $40.
The $25/night camping fee will be collected by Starland County and is payable at the self-registration kiosk (right had side of the road ~1Km from highway).
