Events Description
Bird Walks: Located just off 68th Street and north of the East landfill this unusual spot provides a home for many wetland birds including Black neck stilts, American Avocets, and Black Crowned Night Herons. We’ll take you around the pond and you’ll learn about some of the birds that call this place home.
Binoculars are available if you need them!
Nature Walks: Elliston Park is the 2nd is a large storm water pond and handles much of the run-off from the surrounding neighbourhoods. This pond along with the 68th Street Wetlands cleans the water before it returns to the Bow River. This guided tour will take you around Elliston Park and talk about the plants and animals and the wetlands that you can find in the park.
