Join us for Calgary’s 14th Bike to Work Day happening Friday, May 7th, 2021, all around the downtown area from 6am to 9am! This year, we are scaling down the event to ensure the health and safety of participants while continuing to promote cycling in the city. This event is for anyone commuting to work and even for those working from home who want to come out for a morning ride! Cycling is a great COVID safe activity for all.
There will be ‘Energy Stations’ around the downtown area where cyclists will receive encouragement and possible giveaways as you pass by from our volunteers. (There is NO event at Eau Claire as there has been in previous years.) Note – there will be no gathering permitted due to AHS rules.
More information can be found on our website: http://biketoworkdaycalgary.ca/bike-to-work-day-2021.
BTWD brings together like-minded Calgarians to promote cycling as a viable means of transportation, reduce inner-city traffic congestion, and reduce pollution in the air. The best part is, for each cyclist that passes by an energy station, $1 will be donated to a local charity (Two Wheel View).
