Calgary Poetry Slam August Edition ft. Josie Veness
Slam poetry is a type of competition where people read their poems without props, costumes, or music. After performing, they receive scores (0-10) from 3 randomly selected judges. The slam is broken down into 3 rounds, with the top scoring poets from each round moving forward into the next.
The Calgary Poetry Slam, which was previously know as the Ink Spot Collective Poetry Slam will still be providing the same great slam each month. We still believe that poetry is a medium of revolution, one that anyone can contribute to. Join us at our monthly poetry slam, where we offer an open mic, as well as a competitive slam.
