Events Description

Cyclepalooza is a ten day, do-it-yourself bike festival. It is volunteer-direct and community-based festival focused on promoting arts, culture, events and fun in Calgary. Anyone can add public events to our Festival Calendar and host rides, and anyone can join the rides already posted by others. Many of the events are family-friendly, and contrary to the name, bikes are not required! Any mode of transportation is encouraged, including rollerblades, scooters, the power of two muscular legs and lungs to run alongside bikes for an indeterminate distance etc.

Cyclepalooza hosts one ride every year called Bike Prom, this year on Saturday, July 20. Anyone is welcome to join in their finest (or most fun) attire for a leisurely ride from The Rise in St. Patrick’s Island starting at 7:00 p.m., ending at the Sunalta Community Hall (8:00-8:30 p.m) where there will be food and beverages available for purchase.
