Events Description
We welcome you to an “acoustic” music & story presentation exploring and celebrating the Mystery of this Solstice/Christmas season, and the wondrous dark season of winter.
The night will include traditional and modern songs of winter, along with storytelling, poetry, angelic voices, inspiring words, enchanting vibes, a time of Deep Sacred Sound, and a Solstice fire ritual.
CONTEXT:
There is a subtle aspect of the dark winter season and the Solstice/Christmas/Holiday season which lends itself to reflection on darkness, stillness, and celebration steeped in a sense of mystery and magic. As we move beyond the grip of consumerism, it is a time to let the deeper, yet playful part of ourselves emerge and to open the Heart’s imagination of everyday miracles.
Enchanting songs and stories; profoundly moving. Come rest and be nourished.
PERFORMERS include all local musicians, sound artists, singer-songwriters, dancers and storytellers: Martin Kerr, Gord Oaks, Waymatea Ellis, Marcus Fung, Keri Lynn Zwicker, Ayla Modeste, and special guests.
