Come and see over 200 handknotted rugs from Pakistan! Each rug is beautifully made by fairly paid adults in over 100 villages throughout the country. Bunyaad, a fair trade rug making organization, has been able to build a foundation of work and community amongst 850 families in Pakistan. Visit us in Calgary to see these unique designs and styles and learn more about how rug-knotting is creating sustainable livelihoods.
From September 10 until October 3rd, stop by Villages Calgary from 10-6 Monday to Saturday or Sunday from 12-4 to get a glimpse of these magical carpets. We love flipping them for you and showing you the beauty that these artisans can create!
