Co-produced with W&M Physical Theatre, Mainstage Dance 2019 is the final Mainstage Dance production for professor Melissa Monteros and theatre technician Steve Isom. This year’s show offers a retrospective of dance creations by Melissa Monteros in two different programs.
The pieces are performed by current students and dance alumni, many of whom are now based in different cities across the country and the world. Dancers include Miku Tsuchiya (Japan), Mark Medrano (Montreal) and Ceinwen Gobert (Toronto).
Some of these works, created on students, have toured to Poland and Finland, accompanying the professional work of W&M Physical Theatre.
