Join the School of Creative and Performing Arts for the MFA thesis production of Just Like The Moon, devised by Lizz Windnagel, the creative team and the ensemble
It’s 2020 y’all. It’s been a hard year so far. We might try to hide it, but we are all quite fragile and maybe a little sad. There are many truths hanging above our heads, which are impossible to forget. Can the darkest corners of our souls be scary but also hilarious? Quite possibly. Perhaps the story of a sad and frail clown might be more familiar than it would have been before.
Following our main character, a sad clown named Pierrot, this production will take a virtuosic look at the human condition; our virtues, our quirks, and our unfortunate flaws. This piece will draw upon the imagery and narratives embedded in the history of the tragic French clown as well as include forays into the disciplines of puppetry, movement, and music.
