Come one down for some amazing free entertainment including knight and viking battles, living history villages, mythical storytelling, magic shows aplenty, dance lessons, music, and so much more!

Here’s what you can expect for Medieval Day 2019:

  • Fighting demonstrations by the Wardens of the Red Tower Knight group
  • Living history village and fighting demonstrations by the Vestrheim Vikings
  • Thrilling tales and stories by Calum Lykan Storytelling
  • Games, exhibits, Medieval dance lessons, magic shows, Punch and Judy puppet shows by All Saints Medieval Fellowship
  • Magic show by Albus Dumbledore’s cousin, Magnus Dumbledore
  • Beautiful music by the Calgary Renaissance Singers
  • Performance of the play King Arthur, Crisis in Camelot (written by Geoff Bamber) by the Library’s own youth Drama Club!
  • Photo booth for costumed participants by the Cochrane Camera Club
  • Knighting ceremony for winners of the Youth Writing Contest with our Mayor Jeff Genung
  • Bouncy Castle
  • Pony hop races
  • Safe archery
  • Axe Throwing with Chuck Steels Axe House
  • Craft area
  • Minecraft station sponsored by Marigold Library System
  • Vendors village
  • Food trucks
  • Numerous photo opportunities including in our own Medieval stocks!
