Get ready for an unforgettable musical experience, as Calgary’s Cornerstone Music Cafe welcomes the captivating quartet, Notas de 4, led by the remarkable vocalist Silvia Temis. Silvia, hailing from Calgary, Alberta, has left an indelible mark on the world of music with her enchanting voice and her unique blend of Latin jazz, Cuban, and Flamenco rhythms.
Born in Mexico and educated in architecture and design, Silvia’s journey into the world of Flamenco was a fascinating one. Initially, she discovered Flamenco while designing a Flamenco show, which ignited her passion for this captivating art form. Silvia’s exploration led her to embrace Flamenco dancing and eventually kindled her fascination with Flamenco singing, known as “cante.” She honed her singing skills under the guidance of prominent Flamenco singers (cantaores) both in Spain and Canada.
