Southcentre Mall is excited to announce a month-long Spring Virtual Egg Hunt that will provide families with an opportunity to get out of the house for a fun and safe adventure. Families can remain safely withing their pod and enjoy this magical egg hunt from April 1st-30th. Using the power of augmented reality technology, giant Easter eggs (and other surprises) have been hidden throughout the halls of Southcentre. All you need to play is a connected iOS or Android device with a camera. Southcentre hopes this fun family activity will bring some spring-time cheer to Calgarians all throughout the month of April.
How guests can play:
1. Using your device download the “Virtual Easter” app at Google Play (Android devices) or on the Apple App Store (Apple devices).
2. Open the app and search for hidden eggs around Southcentre using the camera on your device.
3. Collect points by finding hidden objects around the centre.
4. Stop by Guest Services to collect a free colouring sheet with designs from local artists.
Southcentre is also extending the invitation to join in on the Spring Celebrations for those who are unable to make it to the centre. Special Springtime activity books are also available for download at https://www.southcentremall.com/egghunt/ for families to enjoy from the comfort of home. The activity book features pages created by local artists as well as a variety of activities to celebrate Spring.
