Events Description
Get ready for International Women’s Day with a guided walking tour of the lands around Fort Calgary. You’ll discover some of the hidden histories of women who made an impact — learn about the important role of women in Indigenous winter camps, get to know the women who aided (and opposed!) the North West Mounted Police, and find out why women have long been overlooked in stories about the lands of Fort Calgary.
This family-friendly event is recommended for everyone 10 years and up. Dress for the weather and be ready to walk over snowy and/or uneven ground. The museum is currently closed to visitors for repairs, but bathrooms in the Barracks will be accessible before and after the tour.
