Events Description

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will fly cross-country to salute Canadians doing their part to fight the spread of COVID-19. The unique mission dubbed, Operation INSPIRATION will see the team’s signature nine-jet formation, with trailing white smoke, flying over cities across the country.

Weather Dependent: As part of Canadian Snowbirds cross country flypast, they will be flying from Edmonton (air port) to Rocky Mountain via Camrose, Red Deer and other in-between towns on May 16th.

Also on May 16th: Rocky Mountain House to Kamloops

Maintain physical distancing and follow local health orders.

The flypast altitude is 1000 ft.

Things to Do this Long Weekend in Edmonton



Saturday, May 16, 2020 | 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (The timings are tentative and weather dependent. Verify via the twitter feed given below).

On Saturday, the Snowbirds will takeoff from Edmonton airport by around 09:30 a.m. flying via Leduc, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, Maskwacis, Menaik, Ponoka, Morningside, Lacombe, Blackfalds, Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, and Rocky Mountain House following the flight path below. The team will land there by around 10:30 a.m.
