Events Description
With the outdoor gathering rules having been relaxed significantly in the last week I have decided to run my annual urban night ride. This is a skinny tire ride at a decent pace covering 60-75km of the best multi use and normally busy roads throughout the valley. There is a stop or two to take in the sights and have a snack. I’d suggest being able to hold 28kmh on your own on a highway to be able to do this ride. We won’t be racing although there have been no shortage of hill sprints in the past on this ride. The ride is no drop, within reason.
-If you aren’t comfortable with the ride, I understand, please do not click attending as the ride will be capped. If you are attending, please respond for the aforementioned reason.
-This is an unofficial ride so you are coming at your own risk. There is no club affiliation.
-Bring your own repair supplies and food, there will be no sharing due to the current covid guidelines.
-You must have a bright, non flashing front light as well as a rear light that can be run solid. 30 strobing lights can make it really difficult to see what is going on.
The ride starts at 10pm sharp, there will be no waiting around for stragglers.
I expect the ride to finish around 1am.
