The BEFAST Adult Spelling Bee is being put on in support of the University Hospital Foundation and Strides For Stroke, an organization started by Amber Poliquin with the goal of raising $120 000 for research to develop a rapid blood test for stroke.
The event will be hosted at Edmonton’s newest brew pub, Polar Park Brewing Company with CBC radio hosts, Tara McCarthy and Rod Kurtz.
Up to 18 teams of 2-3 spellers each will face off to claim the title of the BEFAST Spelling Bee Champions while enjoying delicious food and drink, amazing prizes, a live DJ, and more! Each attendee’s first drink is included in the admission price.
