Events Description

The Black Owned Market Edmonton (BOM YEG) Cultural experience combines two separate experiences into an afternoon of fun activities for the whole family.

The Afro Fusion Dance Workshop is hosted by Ivan Touko from La Connexional and BOM YEG in Central McDougall Park.

The Ethiopian & Eritrean Coffee Ceremony is hosted through Habesha African Market. We are pleased to provide a two seatings of a cultural coffee ceremony at Habesha African Market.

Each event is by donation so that you can pay-what-you-can.

We invite residents of Central McDougall, Queen Mary Park and the wider YEG community to join us for our first BOM YEG Cultural Experience for an enjoyable Afro Dance Workshop and Cultural Coffee Ceremony experience.

This event provides a place for you to get outside and enjoy the sunshine as you meet other community members. We welcome everyone from all walks of life, including all levels from beginners to experienced dancers and coffee drinkers. This is a good chance for you to learn more about Afro fusion dance and the significance of coffee to Ethiopian and Eritrean culture.

AHS regulations will be adhered to including distancing and the use of masks.
