Events Description
The largest Muslim short film festival in the world returns to Edmonton.
The event features comedian Hassan Phills, musical guest Yuna, and the top short films my Muslim Creatives around the world.
Come join a celebration of arts and culture. Individuals of all backgrounds are welcome.
Based out of Edmonton, Canada, what started in 2006 as a modest short-film competition tackling everyday issues and showcasing the diversity and talents of the local Muslim community, The Mosquers today draws talented filmmakers, performers, and audiences from across the globe.
The event showcases Muslim creatives but is attended routinely by individuals of all backgrounds.
The Mosquers combats misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, demonstrates our diversity, and provides a channel for talented individuals to express themselves.
Over the past 15 years, we have strived to spread a message of creativity, positivity, and compassion to the general public, average Muslim, and media at large. Films in the competition have made us laugh, made us cry, and most importantly, made us think.
