With over 2 million followers, TikTok sensation Notorious Cree (James Jones) has become one of social media’s biggest influencers, elevating the Indigenous voice.
Ranked among the Top 5 hoop-dancers in the world, Notorious Cree is a men’s fancy powwow dancer who blends traditional hoop and powwow with hip-hop and street dance mixed with storytelling and comedy. His energetic and interactive performances include flute and hand-drum and offer a rare opportunity to experience the vibrant traditions and stories of his culture all in the unique, Notorious Cree way!
Hailing from Tallcree First Nation on Treaty Six territory, some of his highlight performances include the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Coachella Music Festival, Juno Awards, and the Sydney Opera House. Most notably, he danced for Juno award-winning Indigenous group, A Tribe Called Red on their world tour and in 2009 appeared as a finalist on the popular TV show, So You Think You Can Dance Canada.
