Events Description

Closing our season at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival is the first-ever revival of this 2003 comedy set in Los Angeles. A Canadian playwright struggling to create a screenplay for his soap star brother-in-law finds himself taking inspiration from some unexpected sources in this uniquely moving exploration of the creative spark. Mathew Hulshof heads the cast which also includes The Irrelevant Show’s Jana O’Connor and, in a most welcome Teatro/Edmonton homecoming, Celina Dean and Josh Dean. Team Dean!

NIGHTCAP CONCERT: Teatro will be joining forces with Plain Jane Theatre to bring you the SERIES! Nightcap Concert Series! For the second and third Fridays and all Saturday evenings, the main stage performances will be followed by live music in the beautiful Varscona Theatre Lobby. The bar will remain open, and you are welcome to stay on after the show and enjoy a nightcap and an effervescent hour of delightful melodies, led by musical theatre maven Kate Ryan, and featuring a delightful line up of musicians and singers. Attendance at these concerts is free, with an option to donate. 25% of all donations will go to charities selected by the artists.
