The No Name Hamilton Biennale, curated by Hundred Dollar Gallery, will bring together a group of over 30 artists, free of the heavy handed curatorial paradigms now sucking the fun out of most biennales. What are artists’ concerns in these difficult times? Are there currents of interest or commonalities of purpose which might arise from a free-wheeling, unmediated display of what artists are making work about now? Join us as we uncover the mysteries of what the creatives are buzzing about now, raw, unfiltered, fresh and direct from the studio.
Our partner in this year’s Biennale is the Paul Elia Gallery located on Cannon Street in Hamilton’s east end. Paul Elia Gallery is an artist run commercial gallery in a renovated industrial space, as well as the home and studio of artist Paul Elia.
Within the purview of Hundred Dollar Gallery, all artwork will be available to purchase for $100 each.
