Events Description
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, presented by Meridian, is an annual Waterloo Region fundraiser to raise awareness about gender-based violence and much needed funds to support YWCA Cambridge’s violence prevention work. We walk in solidarity with survivors of violence because each year in Canada, over 75,000 women and their children flee their homes to escape violence and 2020 will undoubtedly see that number raise.
For 2020, we have transformed our traditional in-person rally and walk into an online event. We are asking you to Walk Your Way and raise funds to help us support those most in need. Walkers are asked to walk/bike/hike/run/roll between September 28 – October 4, 2020 and help us put an end to gender-based violence.

Walk Week ends at 11:59 p.m. on October 4, 2020 and we ask that all donations are submitted by this time. But walkers are encouraged to walk their own way at any point during Walk Week (September 28 – October 4).
