The Town of Riverview’s 18th annual SUNFEST summer festival kicks off June 26 with outdoor events for six days as well as virtual Canada Day activities.

SUNFEST is open to Riverview residents as well as those from surrounding communities. Events will include:
SATURDAY, JUNE 26:
  • 8:30 a.m.-1 pm: Riverview’s first-ever town-wide Yard Sale. Residents can register their address by June 23 to be added to the online public map.
  • 8:30 a.m.-1 pm: A P.R.O. KIDS Sports Equipment Yard Sale will be held in the lower arena of the Byron Dobson Arena, 90 Biggs Dr. New and used sports equipment will be on sale with all proceeds going to Riverview P.R.O. Kids. (Cash only.)
  • 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Celebrate the Opening of the Pickleball Courts. (Gunningsville Courts, located at the corner of Wendell and Old Coach Road.) Rain Date: Saturday, July 3
  • 11 a.m.: GAME OF S-K-A-T-E at Riverview’s Indoor Skatepark. Pre-registration is required.
  • 3 p.m.: Join the fun with Fundy Biosphere Reserve’s Virtual Scavenger Hunt. For info, email info@fundy-biosphere.ca
  • 6 – 8 p.m.: Summer Cocktails and BBQ 101. Mixologist Eric Flanagan and Chef Cherrie Moreault will host a virtual party celebrating the start of the summer season. Via Zoom, participants will learn how to mix summer cocktails and be guided in how to prepare a delicious BBQ meal. Space is limited; Register.
SUNDAY, JUNE 27:
  • 3:30 p.m.: Youth are invited to the Moncton Golf and Country Club for a Free Putting Challenge. Groups will attempt to sink putts from varying distances to earn points. Prizes will be awarded to top point-earners.
MONDAY, JUNE 28:
  • 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.: Kick off summer with a Free Swim and Treats at the Lion Ken Gabbey Community Pool. Online reservation is required and will open June 20:
TUESDAY, JUNE 29:
  • 2 p.m.: There will be a free, public Outdoor Summer Concert featuring Ivan and Vivian Hicks at Parkland Riverview. Bring your own chair. For more information, call 387-7770. (Rain date: Wednesday, June 30)
THURSDAY, JULY 1:
  • 12 noon – 5 p.m.: SUNFEST culminates in a virtual Canada Day event organized by the Town of Riverview. It will include remarks by Mayor Andrew J. LeBlanc and Riverview Town Council. As well, there will be trivia and the Riverview Arts Centre will provide pre-recorded entertainment. For details and updates about the event, visit

The Town has also teamed up again with Cache Up NB to hide five official SUNFEST geocaches in Mill Creek Nature Park. Starting June 30, those who can find them all and complete the challenge will receive a limited edition trackable SUNFEST 2021 geocoin.
