About Jack Axe – Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Edmonton is home to Canada’s only public indoor public lumberjack sports arena. The Jack Axe arena offers 5,300 square feet of alternative, adrenaline-pumping sports activities that are unique, fun and competitive.

Conveniently located on the south side of the Edmonton just off 99 Street, Jack Axe invites you to experience the thrill felt by medieval warriors and modern day lumberjacks alike. Axe throwing and timber sports have had a place throughout history and reflect the skill and precision required of these ancient crafts. Activities offered at the Jack Axe Arena include: Axe Throwing, Log Birling, Pole Climb, Hercules Hoist and the Buck Saw. Steeped in tradition, these challenging events are now a fast growing, popular recreation sport for people of all ages.

Viking warriors, medieval soldiers and burly lumberjacks have proven that the historic, powerful and primal appeal of Timber Sports is undeniable. Once you feel the rush that comes from releasing your axe and hearing the thump as it penetrates the target with a heavy thud, you’ll be hooked on axe throwing. Next you’ll be ready to challenge yourself physically and mentally as you strap on safety gear and take on the 20 foot pole climb. Get ready to test your balance and agility with dry land Log Birling. Or, demonstrate your strength and endurance with the Hercules Hoist or double Buck Saw.

This premier sporting arena also has a fully stocked snack bar and lounge with an assortment of hot and cold treats and beverages with great views of all the action.

Jack Axe offers a variety of ways to enjoy the sports including drop-in, league nights, corporate events, birthday parties, stag(ettes) or events to celebrate any occasion.

We also have our portable Mobile Axe Throwing Targets available. Bring Axe Throwing to your next event or BBQ.
