Overview
About Saskatchewan Science Centre, Regina, Canada
The Saskatchewan Science centre strives to ignite scientific curiosity and innovation in Saskatchewan communities through interactive, dynamic, and engaging learning opportunities.
Opened in April 1989 as the Powerhouse of Discovery, the Saskatchewan Science Centre is housed in what used to be the actual powerhouse of Regina. Now, instead of electrical power, the Science Centre has been generating the power of creativity and imagination within the province for over 25 years.
In April of 1991 the Saskatchewan Science Centre opened its second major attraction – The Kramer IMAX Theatre. In October of 2010, the theatre completed conversion to IMAX 3D, and is the only giant screen theatre in the province.
