About Telus Spark, Calgary
Opened as Calgary Centennial Planetarium on July 1, 1967, Telus World of Science is a science museum with the aim of encouraging visitors of all ages to explore new ideas, build, experiment, create and play.
In 1987, the museum was expanded as Calgary Science Centre. On Oct 29, 2011, the centre reopened on the new location north of Calgary Zoo and is renamed as Telus Spark. Brainasium – a one acre all weather out door park was opened in August 2014.
