Join the Friends of Fort George and Parks Canada on October 13, 2019 as we commemorate the 207th anniversary of the Battle of Queenston Heights and the death of Major General Sir Isaac Brock.
Brock’s Monument National Historic Site will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm all weekend. Step inside the Monument and tour the small museum and gift shop; visit with our historical interpreters; and take a tour of the battle site. The Monument stairs will also be open for climbing. Venture up the 235 steps to the top of Brock’s Monument and enjoy the scenic view of Queenston Heights and the Niagara River!
To commemorate the 207th anniversary of the Battle of Queenston Heights and the death of Major General Sir Isaac Brock, our costumed interpreters will be offering commemorative tours of the battle site at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm. 2019 also marks the 160th anniversary of the opening of Brock’s Monument. Started in 1853, Brock’s Monument was completed in 1856, and officially opened to the public in 1859. To mark this anniversary, Ron Dale, former superintendent of Fort George National Historic Site, will be leading a special tour at 2:00 pm that will feature the history of Brock’s Monument.

Youth (age 6-16) – $3.50
Adults (age 17+) – $4.50
All proceeds from the programming at Brock’s Monument help to support student summer employment opportunities at Brock’s Monument and Fort George.
