If you like one-of-a-kind, hand crafted clothes and accessories — dresses, coats, jewellery, handbags — this is the place for you! Members of ArtWear Ottawa use a wide range of materials, such as hand-dyed silks, fine woollens and unique designer fabrics to create their wares, which are often further embellished with dyeing techniques, hand or machine embroidery, beads and other creative finishes. Some members “upcycle”, to create environmentally friendly novel designs. Still other members use silver and semi-precious stones to create funky but elegant jewellery. Distinctive necklaces, earrings, brooches, bracelets and even hand-dyed scarves make wonderful holiday gifts! Cash or cheque preferred.
