Events Description

The Canadian Museum of History is definitely the place to be on July 1, 2017. As one of the National Capital’s official Canada Day sites, the Museum will feature indoor and outdoor activities for visitors of all ages, including games, performances, inflatables, and — to finish off the evening in style — a spectacular fireworks display set to music.

Join us also for the opening of the Canadian History Hall: the Museum’s brand-new signature exhibition.

Events & activities include:

See and hear a show full of hope and gratitude by a choir of Syrian refugee children living in Canada,

Mini aerial trail, climbing wall, euro-bungee and inflatable games.

Find out about Canadian wildlife and meet a few wild critters in person

Creates a natural masterpiece on your hands with Henna

Bubbleology Show

Roving Acts

Road closures
Roads by Parliament Hill, Major’s Hill Park, Jacques-Cartier Park and the Alexandra Bridge and the road in front of the Canadian Museum of History are closed on Canada Day.
Canada Day shuttle bus

A free shuttle will be running between the Canadian Museum of History (Gatineau) and Major’s Hill Park (Ottawa) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 1.

Stop locations:

Gatineau: on Laurier Street, in front of the Canadian Museum of History
Ottawa: on St. Patrick Street, between the National Gallery of Canada and Major’s Hill Park
