The Canadian Museum of History is definitely the place to be on Canada Day. As one of the National Capital’s official Canada Day sites, the Museum will feature indoor and outdoor activities for visitors of all ages, including games, performances.

Special Anniversary Party for the Canadian History Hall – Join the party and come celebrate with us on the first anniversary of our signature exhibition with cupcakes, activities, crafts and more. Admission is free!

Take advantage of free admission day and be the first to see the world premiere of Canada C3 –Coast to Coast to Coast, an inspiring film that retraces the historic expedition from Toronto to Victoria through the Northwest Passage. And don’t miss this summer’s blockbuster exhibitions: Medieval Europe – Power and Splendour and Death in the Ice – The Mystery of the Franklin Exhibition.

Road closures
Roads by Parliament Hill, Major’s Hill Park, Jacques-Cartier Park and the Alexandra Bridge and the road in front of the Canadian Museum of History are closed on Canada Day.
Canada Day shuttle bus

A free shuttle will be running between the Canadian Museum of History (Gatineau), Major’s Hill Park (Ottawa) and the Supreme Court of Canada from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on July 1.

Gatineau: on Laurier Street South direction, at Elisabeth-Bruyère intersection
