IFCO PRESENTS: CELLULOID DREAMZ

Join us for this special one-time screening of films that celebrate
the beauty and bliss of storytelling, and the power we all possess to
become our own storytellers.

The Independent Filmmakers Co-operative of Ottawa Inc. (IFCO) will be hosting a one-time screening of new Super 8mm and 16mm short films as part of “CELLULOID DREAMZ” – their annual filmmakers’ showcase at Alma Duncan Salon (Level 3), Ottawa
Art Gallery on Saturday, June 29th at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:00 PM). Entrance is at 10 Daly Ave. OR 50 Mackenzie King Bridge.

“CELLULOID DREAMZ” brings to the screen all of the hard work, efforts and dreams that go into making a film. Local filmmakers, who by the way are generally representative of ‘every person’ within the broader Ottawa community, set aside their note books/ suits, studies, day to day drudgery etcetera, to embrace their inner filmmaker because of their love of storytelling. Through their passion and need to create, these writers, and filmmakers take us on various filmic journeys.

Tickets are $15 at the door. Proceeds from the screening benefit various IFCO activities, which are designed to encourage and support the ongoing development of especially local filmmaking talent.

After the screening, you’ll have a great opportunity to mix and mingle with some of the filmmakers at the after-party at The Albion Rooms – located at (#33 Nicholas St.). The Albion Rooms offers an exquisite menu with a varied selection, so there’ll definitely be some delicious eats and bites.

“Celluloid Dreamz” could not have been made possible without the
support of the following:

– ByWard Market BIA – ByWard Market is home to over 600 uniqueshops, restaurants, personal services. This is the heart of Ottawa!

– The Albion Rooms – One of Ottawa’s top dining experiences “your home away from home, for great food and relaxation!”, and

– Diffusart – A leader in postering and brochure distribution in Ottawa.

“A FILM IS NEVER REALLY GOOD UNLESS THE CAMERA IS AN EYE IN THE HEAD OF A POET.” – ORSON WELLES
