Events Description
This festival will be a celebration of one of the municipality’s greatest gems – the Gatineau River! Enjoy a leisurely float or paddle down the Gatineau River from Wakefield to Farm Point, and there, settle into festivities with your friends and neighbors! Waiting for you at the Farm Point Community Centre will be a host of summer activities, kiosks and entertainment.
This is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Gatineau River and Loisirs Chelsea Nord.
FREE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY including:
• Flotilla from Wakefield to Farm Point including a shuttle ($$registration required for flotilla only)
• Dragon boat trials by Cascades Club
• Yoga workshops with Vrai Nature Yoga
• Kids Zone with games, crafts
• Eco-fair and market
• A variety of street food and drinks available
• Raffle prizes
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT ALL DAY including:
• Julien Dionne, Acadian comedian extraordinaire will be Master of Ceremonies
• Stone Age Man – eclectic combination of blues, rock, jazz and cabaret
• Claire Bestland – guitar slinging blueswoman
• Derek Debeer – african drumming and giant interactive drum circle
