Events Description

Experience Ottawa like never before! A brand-new urban adventure to Ottawa: float down the Ottawa River from mid-town to the Canadian War museum in a two hour, guided float trip. Explore a side of Ottawa you’ve never seen before as you journey down over 3km of the river with stunning views of the Capital

Both a float trip and a paddle trip, everyone gets a paddle and everyone gets to participate in this easy run down the river. Let our entertaining river guides navigate you through smaller rapids, our relaxing lazy river, large sections of flatwater and Ottawa’s Nature Oasis.

Your tubing journey starts at Bate Island, under the Champlain Bridge. Within the first 100m of the trip, you will paddle through a set of small rapids, the Remic Rapids. These rapids will cool you off with a splash or two, no flip…guaranteed.

After conquering Remic, you are then able to relax and enjoy 1km (approx. 30 mins) of floating down the river in a very slow current. During this part of the trip, you will be able to jump into the river to cool off as you float past stunning views of the shoreline of Remic Rapids Park, Adventure Island, and both Ontario and Quebec. You will finish this part of the journey by paddling to the right of the Little Chaudière Rapids through the marked buoys, following your guide towards Ottawa’s Nature Oasis.

Next, you will arrive at the gates of the Magic Portal which will lead you into Ottawa’s Nature Oasis. Here is Adventure Island and Ottawa’s own Lazy River. Float between tectonic plates, under a canopy of old growth oaks and foliage, and enter the wild all while in the heart of the city. Our guides will make sure you stay on course as you float through Ottawa’s nature safari.

After the islands, it’s time to enjoy some fun. As you emerge from the Nature Oasis back towards our beautiful city, guests can try our Amazing Race course of standing on their tubes like stand-up paddle boards, jumping off their tubes, racing each other and even playing bumper tubes. As you float under a series of bridges, reach up and try your luck (and strength) with our famous bridge hang.

Just past the Prince of Wales bridge, the river opens up into a large bay beneath the Parliament Buildings, where you can catch stunning views of our Peace Tower and downtown. Float another 600m until you arrive at the end point, where a shuttle will be waiting to take you back to your vehicles.
